Wacky Races: Crash & Dash
If you're old enough to remember watching 60s-era Hanna-Barbara cartoons on Saturday mornings, take off the rose-colored spectacles o' nostalgia for a minute and recall how crappy they really were. Wacky Races on Wii is like that, only you have to pay for it. So don't.

Based on the old Hanna-Barbara cartoon from the 1960s, Wacky Races: Crash & Dash boasts the same low-budget, easy-money, cheap shoddy excuse for entertainment as its namesake. That is to say, if you're the nostalgic sort, remember that Hanna-Barbara cartoons of old, Wacky Races included, had some decent groaner humor but almost zero production value otherwise; they were the sugar coated sugar puff cereal of Saturday morning serials.

Even more pathetically, Wacky Races on Wii is actually an old Sega Dreamcast game, which was remarkably terrible back in 2000, retooled to be terrible Nintendo's new "everybody" system, complete with token "wank the Wii-mote" turbo-boosting control scheme that has little to do with driving and everything to with "cash in on the gimmick."

Speaking of gimmicks, there's also the token "mini-game" break occurring in the middle of each race, which are menial, unimaginative affairs of little appeal.

Basically, a clump of cartoon cars scroll along cartoon race courses from a side-on perspective (occasionally flitting to a top-down view). It doesn't matter which character and car you pick as they all behave the same.

In fact, you don't even have to drive as wayward vehicles are inevitably nudged back on course; should you crash or otherwise fall behind, you're reset at the back of the pack, putting you conveniently within a turbo-wank of first place.

Ultimately, there is more fun to be found by pushing the conveyor belt button in the check-out stand at the grocery store and watching the sack of apples crush the potato chips.

I think I would play it. A little blast from the past. My kids would love it.
